Taken from my sourdough starter when it’s most active, this will speed up your sourdough journey! Rehydrate then begin feeds and on day 4 it’s ready to bake with!
Dehydrated sourdough starter instructions:
Day 1- add 1/4 cup of warm water to dehydrated starter
Day 2- feed starter 1/2 cup of flour and 1/3 cup of warm water (should resemble a thick batter)
Day 3- discard half and feed with same ratio
Day 4- starter should be active, continue to discard and feed!
Tips:
•keep in a warm room
(the oven with only a light on will work in the winter)
•if starter is lagging feed with rye flour
